What skills and competencies should a candidate have:

• Proven experience as a Director of Operations or relevant role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager or Producer in the video games industry.
• Strong tactical acumen, with the ability to foresee potential issues and create strategic plans to overcome them.
• Proven track record strategic planning and business growth.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
• Experience with IT/Business infrastructure.
• Experience in recruiting, developing, and overseeing a performance-driven team.
• Adept at strategic decision-making and problem-solving.
• Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• PMP certification is a plus
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.

Functional responsibilities:

• Design and implement business operational strategies, plans, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals set by the CEO.
• Lead company’s back office operations
• Oversee daily operations of the company (Operations, IT, Recruitment, HR).
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Production to ensure seamless operation, align strategies, and meet the growing needs of production.
• Improve collaboration between departments to increase processes efficiency. Manage cross departmental collaboration.  
• Review and improve company and department structures, align it with the company's strategy and scale plan.
• Lead the development and implementation of operational policies, rules, and regulations.
• Develop, implement and monitor a system of operational KPIs across departments, ensuring the company’ system of operational KPIs is aligned with the company's strategy and scale plan. 
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Hold departments accountable to their OKRs.
• Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
• Drive operational efficiencies, quality, and cost reduction.
• Take a proactive role in aiding department leaders in strategizing and achieving department goals.
• Develop and implement effective growth strategies.
• Establish a positive, professional, and proactive work environment, fostering a team-first culture, where goals are met and teams capacity is well planned.
• Review and improve operations within the service departments; ensure that processes are efficient, well-defined, easily adopted, and quickly learned by new team members.
• Facilitate leadership meetings and ensure timely and effective implementation of agreed decisions.
